Photo documentation of the summer fieldwork conducted by the State of the Rockies' Waldo Canyon crew. This team of student ecologists spent their summer surveying the burn scar from the first day of the 2012 Waldo Canyon Fire. They are the first group to study this land in any capacity since the fire. Their research focused primarily on understanding the area's success rate of Ponderosa Pine regeneration. Additionally, the team documented other plant, insect, bird, and fungi species they encountered and passed this information on to the forest service.
